Tea and Talk Thursdays is a casual, friendly Victoria coffee meetup created for good conversation, new connections, and community. We meet every other Thursday at the James Bay Coffee House on Simcoe Street, beside Thrifty Foods, for coffee, conversation, and good company.

Come for the Coffee, Stay for the Conversation

There’s no agenda, no formal networking, and no pressure to make connections. We simply get together, grab a coffee, and enjoy a great conversation.

And while we don't set out to network, connections and friendships often happen naturally when people get together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

You'll find a mix of familiar faces and new ones at our gatherings. Some people live right here in James Bay, others come from different neighbourhoods around Victoria, and occasionally we welcome visitors from other parts of Canada and around the world who are spending time in Victoria.

Whether you've lived in Victoria for years, recently moved to the city, are visiting for a while, or simply enjoy meeting interesting people over coffee, you're welcome to join us.

Everyone is Welcome

Tea and Talk Thursdays is open to all ages and all backgrounds. You don't need to know anyone before you come, and you certainly don't have to come with a friend. Many people arrive not knowing anyone and quickly find themselves part of the conversation.

 
It's simply a chance to meet people in Victoria, enjoy a coffee, and feel a little more connected to your community.

Every other Thursday Please check the event listing for the upcoming date and time.

Cost: Free to attend. We simply ask that you purchase a coffee, tea, or something from the café to support our wonderful local coffee shop.
